What is inside

  • A kid card to fill in once per child.
  • Colouring sheets: the page prompt, fixes and a prompt to make a set.
  • Finish-the-story comic: the story prompt, two page versions (they write the words, or they draw the pictures) and fixes.
  • The Case of the Missing Halloween Sweets: design the case, make it printable, check it can be solved, fix it and add hint cards.
  • Their own song: a songwriting sheet, a prompt that formats their lyrics for Suno without rewriting them, and a style line.
  • Family gameshow: one Codex prompt that writes the questions, checks them and builds the game, plus fix prompts.
  • A check under every activity, and a final list before anything reaches them.

Who is this for

Parents working through the school holidays with children aged roughly 8 to 12. You need ChatGPT, plus Suno for the song. Codex comes with ChatGPT. No coding needed.

What problem does it solve

Holiday days when you still have calls to take. The three printables are made the night before, so they're ready to hand out. The prompts carry the rules that make the outputs usable: closed shapes and no grey for colouring, empty bubbles for the comic, and a clue table that leaves exactly one suspect for the mystery.

How to use it

  • Fill in a kid card for each child.
  • Run each prompt in order, filling in the parts in square brackets.
  • Run the check under each activity before you print or play.
  • Print the first three and keep the song and the gameshow for when you log off.

What it will not do

It won't supervise anyone. The printables are for children to do on their own, but the song and the gameshow need you there, and Suno's terms set a minimum age of 13. Image tools still misspell names and can draw the same character differently from panel to panel, so expect a fix or two. It can't tell you how long an activity will hold your child. That depends on the child.
