Nobody pays me to say anything here. If that ever changes, you will know on the page where it happens.
The short version: nobody pays me to say anything here, and if that ever changes, you will know on the page where it happens. This sets out how I handle free access, sponsorship and affiliate links, so you can weigh what you read.
Where things stand today
Right now there are no sponsors, no affiliate links, and no tools given to me free in exchange for coverage. Everything tested here was paid for out of my own pocket or used on a normal free plan, the same as anyone else would. No company has paid me or given me anything to shape what I say.
If that changes
I am open to sponsorship and to testing tools I am given access to. I would welcome it. But it comes with fixed rules, and these hold whatever the deal:
- Anything given free, discounted, or paid for by a company is labelled as such, on the specific piece, not buried here.
- Money or free access never buys a verdict. A sponsor pays for my time and the slot, not the conclusion. If a paid-for tool breaks, the break goes in.
- Affiliate links, if I ever use them, are marked as affiliate links where they appear, and I only use them for tools I would recommend anyway.
- I will turn down anything that would mean softening what I actually found.
The whole brand rests on testing things honestly and showing what broke. A disclosure I have to fudge is a piece not worth publishing.
